about

Words from Batsauce:

"Summertime was made during a cold bleak Berlin winter in 2010. I always loved the song ‘Summertime’ in almost any of it’s many incarnations. So, I decided to make a project from the many versions of the Gershwin classic. I thought of it as sonic vitamin D. After I had more than 40 beats made, I sent some out to my rapper-friends — and singers— to add their sunshine to the album. Ironically, it wouldn’t be completed until the end of the 2010 summer. FULL PLATE is celebrating the 10th anniversary with a limited edition yellow cassette. The project features Paten Locke (R.I.P.), Massinfluence, The Perceptionists (Mr. Lif & Akrobatik), Dillon, Qwazaar (of Typical Cats), Chop, Baje-One (of Junk Science), Lady Daisey, & Wynton Kelly Stevenson (of Duct Tape)."

Batsauce is a beat maker/producer from Jacksonville, Florida. When he’s not gallivanting around the world with his wife, Lady Daisey, he lives in Berlin, Germany or out of their VW camper van (down by the river). Bat got his moniker because he used to grow hot peppers and make his own hot sauce — and his initials are BAT. Tune in, turn on, and help spread the word. ... more
